Women’s World of Boxing provides a safe and dynamic environment for women of all experience levels. Whether you are a first time boxer just interested in learning proper boxing technique or if you have your eyes set on the fight prize, our training focuses on technique from the ground up. Our mission is to prepare you for the fight, in the ring and out in, in case the fight comes to you.
First Boxing Class at Women's World of Boxing is our mandatory class required for anyone taking class at WWB for the first time. We focus on technical boxing technique from the ground up at WWB, and because that means different things different places, we like to make sure that everyone here is on the same page. If you are completely new to boxing, this class will be your foundation moving forward. You may choose to repeat the class as many times as you’d like before moving on to Mechanics 1. If you are a coming to us with experience, you can use this class to review your form with Coach and to access what classes will suit you best at WWB. First Boxing Classes tend to be smaller in size than other classes, and Coach is able to meet each boxer where they are—whether you are totally new or seasoned you will be challenged.
Gloves and hand wraps are not required for the first class, but if you would like the full experience, you can either bring your own 180" hand wraps or purchase at our front desk for $10.00.
After taking your First Boxing Class at WWB, our ''Boxing Mechanics - Level 1'' classes are constructed to devote more time to the novice boxer and provide in-depth training of your natural body movement to aide in constructing your boxing foundation.
Boxing Techniques is the next level after Boxing Mechanics. It is structured to help the novice boxer improve their boxing skills, stamina, punches, and hand-eye-foot coordination while building boxing combinations.
Boxing training for Advanced and Boxers who are sparring. Prerequisites: Levels 1-2
Boxing training for Intermediate Boxers to take their training to the next level. It is designed to improve your overall boxing IQ with drills for shadowboxing, footwork, technical sparring, mittwork, and bag work.
This class is instructed by Stacia Suttles, 2015 NY Daily News Golden Gloves silver medalist, 2015 New York Metro Champion, 2016 New York Daily News Golden Gloves Champion, 2016 National Women’s Golden Gloves silver medalist and 2016 USA Nationals Champion.
Prerequisites: Levels 1-3
Kickboxing classes consists of traditional kicking techniques, body mechanics and conditioning.
The drill’s and exercises in class focus on strength, agility, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, speed and power.
Whether working on the heavy bags, pads, or with a partner, this class is designed to help each Kick-Boxer find and develop her own strength and balance.
An integration of Yoga, Martial Arts, and Calisthenics.
